Clean Image

I have just posted an image that I sent to everyone while looking at it on via the blog I could see it was very dirty and so I have cleaned it up and will resend it.

Reshoots

Yesterday we had a chance to meet up and review what we have done so far. Well watched the video and after the dialog Maribel had on Sunday she had implemented some of the changes I had suggested. Chelsea showed us the A3 poster she had been working on and we changed the position of the text. I made a suggestion about the A4 poster and I would make an image from the photos we had that evening and e-mail everyone.

All seem to like the idea and Maribel pointed out that the bottle where in different planes. I decided to reshoot them in the morning.

After the photography I created a new poster with the Satellite font we had wanted to use. I link up with Maribel via Facebook and mad a number of changes culminating in a final Photoshop file that I up loaded to drop box and emailed the link to the rest of the group so they could see what had been done and implement any change they felt where necessary to their copy of the file, so when we meet next we can agree on the final results.

Video

We been having discussions via Facebook as what next to do. We have arrived at the idea of a bathroom cabinet full of medicine bottles that are rearranged to show the words MAD 4 IT. Maribel said she want to film the video at home and had been looking for a cabinet and bottles. We both managed to source some and in the end she went and got the ones she had seen. On Thursday  after noon on our return trip from London I went through the finer point to the filming with her. Just to be ahead of the game I did a test video and a quick workout with aftereffects to see what it may look like and any filming problem we might encounter.

I email this to the rest of the group. After some more discussion via Facebook, Maribel said she come over and we would us the wooden thing I had got. I e-mail the labels I created based on one I have at home.

 Maribel arrived and together we filmed the labels adding extra shots from our original storyboard. The shot that would be used for the poster. When all was done she took all the filr to assemble into the final video.

A day of two halves

In the morning we progressed with the idea of cup cakes. However I was unhappy with the carton look and felt we should do something slightly different.

Different direction

One of the example of different styles we looked at as a group was 1960's feel returning to that thought I created a more graphic style cupcake and plate image. While we where all  together I worked on the idea of a Big cup and swirly cupcake developing the graphic look.

Stop 

We all meet up in the afternoon and the large floor in our end of year show was pointed out. We where engaging with the clients and not promoting the show. We looked at the work we had done and decided to return to the Mad 4 it we started with. Our initial thoughts where rearranging something to eventually say Mad 4 it.  Wooden blocks, cakes with letters on, bottles with labels. I created a label and put it on the image of a bottle.

Group meeting

We had a group meeting where we push ahead with the cup cake idea. Out of that came the idea of a cake stand and I suggested that the logo could be in the handle of the cake stand. Most ideas I worked through on some one else laptop as we where taking about what we could do. The idea of cakes on a plate was one of the last of the day. The colour where partly based on the first poster I did with the Bubblegum font.

We had various e-mail back and forth updating ideas. I took Maribel's idea and changed it a bit.

Work out

Since the class yesterday I have created a couple of artworks using the Mad 4 it idea in preparation for the meeting the rest of the group.

A suggestion has been put forward that we promote tea with some of the companies who might come to the show. so w can promote the show and get them to attend. Cup cakes have been discussed saw a thing with cup cake and came up with idea as yet no cup cakes.

My initial thoughts was self promotion, and the t-shirt has always been a good vehicle for that my attention turn to the t-shirts of the 80's.
